BP Pulse overcharge
Discussion
Hi all
i'm currently running a 208GT via On.to (whilst waiting on my new car) and last week we took a few days out in Norfolk. Obviously at some point there was a need to charge and I found a BP with 3 fast chargers. Pulled up tried charger 1 with my BP RFID card no luck moved to charger 2 and then to charger 3 all the same. I thought it might be the card so i then tried my credit card. This time charger 1 acknowldged my card but said connection failed so I tried chargers 2 and then 3 all the same ie there was a recognition of my credit card but each time there was an error message on screen to say connection problem. So i left and found another place to charge. Roll forward a week and i was checking my credit card statement and saw that i had 3 x £30 charges for the same day at the BP station! Checking their T&C's there is a £10 per hour charge for overstays so i'm assuming they or their system thinks that i had 3 cars overstaying for 3 hours, whereas the reality was that i tried 3 machines each failed and i drove away after a few minutes!
anyone had anything like this happen to them before? I've emailed BP and raised a compliant but don't hold out much hope for a speedy / easy resolution.

It's probably a pre-authorisation that will eventually be removed from your account. Does it say the charge is "pending" on your list of transactions? I agree is very annoying as that limits your credit card spending for the rest of the month.i'm currently running a 208GT via On.to (whilst waiting on my new car) and last week we took a few days out in Norfolk.
