Hi.
Not long had a new car. Got the Gardx as part of deal. On washing noticed near rear lights (bumper) the white car is dirty. Looks like theyve applied Gardx over the dirt. Never had this problem before so proper peeved. Its not obvious but what would be best course of action. Wait and i guess in time it will wear off or look at getting it removed.

are you sure its not a sloppy repair ? theyre usually only a wipe on /off type of sealant , i cant see how you could seal over dirt

I would imagine its likely to be tar and iron fallout/other contaniments you get at the rear of the car.

A clay bar will take it off but is likely to take the coating off with it. But tbh there are many better products out there compared to the stuff dealers sell you and for alot less.

Thanks. I dont think its a bad repair. It looks dirty. One side is worse than the other. Its on an indentation where the fog lights are so i think a poor car wash would miss it. Car was in a bad shape when I looked at it & that was supposedly after a valet. Think been stood on forecourt for a couple of months. Might leave it for a bit & see how i get on if the Gardx isnt as good as that.

I had Autoglym lifeshine applied to my brand new Pearl white Honda... unfortunately they stuffed up the application and I was left with what looked like run marks and patches from poorly washing. They wouldn't come off.

I had to take it back twice in the end to get it sorted - they had to polish the lifeshine to remove the marks.

Most of these treatments come with a guarantee, so the dealer should sort it for you.

I wouldn't have it again, it's better to get a detailer to ceramic coat/etc. rather than the dealer applied treatments.

This is the issue with dealer applied treatments, it relies on the dealers people doing the job right.

Take it back to them, get it polished off and then re-applied. Or tell the dealer you want a local detailer to sort it and they foot the bill.
