Vanquish Gen 2 Tyres
Discussion
Hello,
Are people generally happy with the AM branded Pirelli tyres that come as standard on the car, I'm picking up a Vanquish next week and all 4 tyres are these ones with loads of tread left. I have always put Michelins on my cars, just preferred them. The thing is, in the standard sizes (255/35/20 & 305/30/20), you can only buy the Pilot 4 (non S), which is not their High Performance Tyre and then only the Cup 2, which might be a bit overkill.
Has anyone had any luck in getting the Pilot Sport 4S, or have you changed tyre sizes a little ?
Would love to hear you opinions, cheers.

Yes, Eagle SuperSport F1's are available in the correct sizes, assuming those are the ones you mean? Think I put them on an Audi TT once, they were pretty decent to be fair.
Probably worth a look, thanks. Anyone else put Goodyears on ? Problem is, we are limited on choice due to the sizes.

Well I've lived with the pirelli's on my Vanquish S for almost a month now and have to say they aren't great. Fine when pootling around but when you give it full beans I think there must be better options out there.
I am like yourself a new owner and the car came with 4 almost brand new tyres on it so am not changing just yet as I am too tight for that- I need my monies worth from the Pirelli's first
I just hope that michelin will have added more sizes by the time I need to change them but the P Zeros aren't great on this car.

Thanks but I have already looked on there and their isn't much choice. I am only looking for the premium brands, like Continental, Michelin, Bridgestone or Goodyear. If you find the fronts in one brand, they don't do the matching ones for the rear !
I have only found (on black circles website), Ps4 (non-s) and Goodyear F1, matching front/rear.
I've heard good things about the new Bridgestone potenza sport but no matching rear tyre and also the brand new Continental sport 7 but not available in 20" yet.

Yep - exactly same boat as you, almost new pirelli's all round - will try harder to wear them out quickly :-) Even if I can get them down to 3-4mm, I'll change them then but it would be silly to change now, must get some use out of them.
