C63 W204 values..!!!!!

Hi all.
Just wondering what people think about this.
I’m thinking about getting a Nissan GTR.
But, i currently have the V8 C63 of which I don’t know the best thing to do with it.
Do I :-
Sell it privately.
Part Ex it (already been quoted about £22,000 really)
Or, keep it & put it in storage for a year to see if the value goes up.
Just interested in what other people think.
The thing is, if it costs £3000 or so to store, is it really going to increase by that much, I doubt it very much.
Yet the dealer who has the GTR I’m
Interested in says they are going up.
Be interesting to hear your thoughts.

Give or take values are staying flat. Mine is worth a little more than I paid for it 20 months ago but I’ve added a few very subtle and tasteful improvements. I’m happy with depreciation free motoring though.

I can’t see them being particularly strong in terms of future residuals.
They will come under pressure from the W205 C63 which is also an absolute peach of an engine, but is a more efficient and is in a more modern car.
There may be a die hard “last of the large capacity V8” effect but honestly the newer car offers the same experience in a nicer cabin, while using less fuel and costing less to tax. All of those things will bear down on the w204 over time.
Values for everything are insane at the moment so them gaining value over the last couple of years is meaningless.

I wouldn't store it unless it's rare; 507/Black Series which at £22k trade, I assume not. Your costs will exceed any potential appreciation; storage, insurance and servicing, assuming you SORN. My gut feeling is we're at the peak for ICE cars. Financial uncertainty is ahead, you'll have a reduced buyer market for such a car and do you want £22k tied up in something that will cost you money to maintain and not use?
