Finding out “truths” aren’t true

The first time was possibly when I found out Santa wasn’t real, although I can’t remember that.

Most recent was yesterday. Something I thought was a fundamental fact was the conservation of energy. Something that was drummed into me at school during science lessons. But apparently it is only true in a non expanding universe (and we live in an expanding universe).

Finding out that gravity is not a force and Newtons laws of motion are also incorrect was similarly discombobulating.

What truths have you discovered are not true (apart from “I love you” from ex GFs/BFs!)?
