Battery Testing - Analogue vs Digital Load Testing?
Discussion
Hi All
I know measuring the static voltage over battery terminals doesn't tell the full story.
I bought myself one of these analogue load test units to measure the CCA:

A great tool, but I just finished watching the following video where it shows a similar load testing tool reporting the battery is producing a decent amount of CCA... however, he then uses a digital tester which reveals the reported CCA is much lower (duff battery):
4:42 - Analogue load tester unit
6:55 - SOLAR digital battery tester unit
My question is, why did the analogue tester show a healthy amount of CCA - more specifically any idea what the digital tester is doing differently to get the true CCA?
Thanks in advance.
