Cruise control switch...
Discussion
Morning all...
The cruise control cancel button on the steering wheel of my vanquish gen 2 has broken - see photos..

The plan is to remove the errant button, glue it back together and re-install it...
The question...
How does the switch pop out - do I have to remove the whole set of switches or is this an easy repair?
Thanks in advance...
Andy

Morning, to my knowledge you have to remove the airbag to deinstall those switches. I don’t think a glued switch will last long. It will break again …
Richard‘s video shows the procedure to remove the airbag and there you will see the switches.

Hope that helps

What a f3322ing thing to happen, that would drive me mad if you could see a repair. Maybe when you remove it find a good 3 d printer expert who can manufacture one for you. How did it happen its not like you would be in the back seat and accidentally kick it in a moment of passion. Just so I know what not to do.

Yeah - it started with a hairline crack which was only noticeable at night when the light shone through, then just got worse over time.....and it definitely not through wear and tear as i very seldom use cruise control!!!
I will try and fix it by carefully "gluing" it in place - but acknowledge I'll probably have to replace the switch sooner rather than later...
C'est la vie...
Wonder if it is a Volvo / Ford sourced part? It may be shaped around the steering wheel to some extent but it could well be a part that can be sourced cheaper elsewhere with a bit of research. Or you may find an alternative module that has the same or easily adapted pinout? Eg this sort of thing https://gbr.grandado.com/products/1-pair-replaceme...
(Not saying that is compatible - but you get the idea). Obviously would need the same buttons and functionality and a way of mounting but for the sake of 30 minutes on google could be worth a bit of digging
