Hi to all,
Just wondering what sort of mileages are on the cars owned on here.
Still sat patiently for conveyancing to go through and regularly looking daily at the V12VS cars available. Two currently grab my attention, the Flugplatz Blue and (despite not wanting black) the Black one with the red interior.
38000 mies on the Black one which is only just over 6000 miles p.a and keeping in mind I'll be buying a car to use that doesn't really bother me.

To be honest, most V12V's seem to have very low mileage, so 36k is high mileage for one in terms of comparable to the rest of the market, that said its equally nothing for such a car and engine in reality. The key to check will be signs of visble wear to seats etc... and if you are keeping the car forever then it really doesn't matter. The key as said before is take your time, find the right car and spec for you and be patient. It will come along before you know it. If this really is a once in a lifetime purchase and a keeper forever, then the most important thing is to wait for the perfect car for you, no compromises.Just wondering what sort of mileages are on the cars owned on here.

FWIW, mine has 9000 miles and is just over 5yrs old from new, and that's a daily driver - that said lockdown has reduced that massively over the last 2 years as does the fact I often used to walk to work on sunny days, because I could.
Don’t fear higher mileage VH platform Astons. They can easily munch miles.
You pay less for higher mileage cars, but as all V12S’ are now outside the original 3 year manufacturer warranty, if you have an extended MD warranty (recommended for at least the first year of ownership), we’re all in the same boat, safety-net-wise.
My only concern with higher mile cars is ensuring the carbon brakes aren’t due to be replaced anytime soon. They are able to last many miles if treated properly. But you need to get a MD or specialist to give a report on their condition, if concerned. If the car was tracked, that is the only part I’d be really cautious with.
But even low mile examples can have looming carbon brake issues through track use (or extreme road use?) plus chemical attacks usually from aggressive cleaning products.
Don’t get too bogged down with all that. Have your emergency maintenance fund at hand throughout what will hopefully be a long ownership and just enjoy!

As said in the other thread, 69 this year and would intend to use a car for both UK and European road trips The car would be a keeper until I either become unfit to drive or fall over so in reality not too worried re resale value.
It wouldn't be a daily as have a Smart for that.

My 2011 V12V has 48k so moon ship distance for some owners I guess, but in reality that’s 4K a year. I’m the second owner, it was AM Works supplied new and to myself and has only ever been serviced by them.
Its interior is literally as new (a compliment to the care the first owner took). I was very conscious and careful re the clutch and CCBs when buying, and works were incredibly accommodating to my questions/requests and nervousness. They did underwrite both as part of the purchase in regards life. I spoke to the original owner who’d never tracked it and used as a daily on good days.
I don’t intend to sell so all academic but I brought eyes open and did my homework with the dealer. AND it’s been faultless. It was brilliantly prepared, it had a sticking exhaust valve pre purchase and they replaced the whole back box rather than fix. And that was it.
I ve driven the NC500 and heading to the Alps in June so enjoy it for big trips. I have my moments of mileage paranoia, but have settled on you only live once, and prefer the memories than a car worth a few £k more come the end.

Mileage wouldn’t bother me in the slightest. Infact I’d probably look for one with some reasonably sensible mileage on it if it was me as everytime I buy something low mileage they seem to give me grief when I actually use them.
Same with many friends of mine. Cars need using properly. A few miles down to the shops here and there won’t do them much good, they need a proper run out and regular maintenance.

6.5 years; just coming up to 19k. Probably higher than average. I bought it at just under 3 years when it had 11k.
I don’t see much point in having one and not using it - I get far more enjoyment from driving it than from knowing it’s sitting in the garage. And it’s not as if they are fragile cars either. I guess many owners - me included - will have at least one other car, which naturally helps to keep mileages low. Generally I reserve it for long trips where I know there are some fun roads, or short hops just to put a smile on my face.

I’ve owned my 2011 Carbon Black V12 Vantage since Sept 2014 and to date it’s covered 78k miles. It was a high mileage 58k one owner car when I bought it from Grange AM. The mileage then and now is not an issue for me as it’s a keeper and as you’d expect came at a better price than a similar car with much much lower mileage.Just wondering what sort of mileages are on the cars owned on here.

My green V12S is 8 years old this year and has 15k miles on it, due to the fact that i work over-seas and only get to use it when im back home, i also still have the extended warranty on it although am seriously thinking of dropping that this year. Having said that i think i will only keep the warranty if i feel that i might sell it sometime as it would make things so much easier to do, or at least peace of mind for the new owner anyway.
My November 2009 registered Magma Red V12V has now got 41.5k miles on it (had 37k when I bought in June 18). Im the 4th owner. Always garaged but I do need to use it more going forward as its epic to drive, god knows how much to fill the tank now though lol
Only issue I have had was the nearside headlamp LED sidelamp failure which I had repaired 2 years ago.

yep, on the hunt, but I have only one garage, no driveway and not gone put a nice car on the streets, so its a bit difficult, or my car has to be sold, or trade in for a good price. I also have a lot other cars on my list though, so I look and try to feel how it is to own such car, may it be a Aston V12 manual (heavy) or a Donkervoort D8 GTO RS (lightweight) or maybe a Morgan Speed six with hardtop or a Wiesmann MF3 or MF4 GT ? I like short cars, those are all under 4.10 meter, my favorite car lengt, Max 4.10
But I also have some other on my bucketlist, a bit longer, ofcourse the GT40 and the 300 SL gullwing are replica's, but look so nice...
so maybe one day, saw a very nice one, almost real, but...200k way to much for me, although some ask way more.
the cheaper once's are not really good ones, but it gives me something to watch out/busy.
The Aston in the auction looks good, it already has NL plates, but the auction price is without, so afterwards BTW and BPM/Co2 per gram tax and Auctions things come on top.. And I don't like all those paperwork in the auctions, it scares me off a bit...
Last year I bid on a nice special Aston Vantage V12 S version, also on Dutch plates, I thought, I go to 100k and if I win it, ok, but I'm not going higher, it went to 105 or 110k ex commissions I believe, still not expensive for that version and low km, but that was my first auction, but that auction was less scary complicated for me to do.
I'm not in a hurry though, I have till 2030, after that I'm seem to be happy with nothing... ;-)
