Great to see our MPs proving yet again that they are upstanding guardians of behaviour and morals.

It's front page news on the BBC and the lead item on LBC.

If you two want to try and score points off the back of sexual assault fill your boots.

The usual suspects are going to be horribly conflicted here - do they protect the tribe/blame the victim or do they make thinly veiled racist slurs against the offender?

I want to see just how long he continues to receive MP salary & expenses. In a proper system they would end immediately following conviction but somehow I doubt it.

That's your main issue with this situation?

No point scoring here i'm afraid, just agreeing.

And i also feel that anyone found guilty of sexual assault should receive the harshest penalty where possible, whoever the accused is.

HTH.

It was your first thought on the situation.

It was all you wrote about the situation.

Pretty disgusting really.

What’s the odds he doesn’t resign and has to be thrown out one way or another?

no doubt he's going to milk the system for as long as he can when in all honesty anyone else would be suspended without pay

Aye, sure you did.

Easily the most cretinous comment I've seen on here for a while, and that's saying something.

Depends on the length of sentence (suspended included)
If greater than 12 months it’s an automatic disqualification from holding the post.
Less than that and it’s down to his/her constituents to petition for removal - this process is initiated by the speaker informing the constituency returning officer to open a petition.

The party does not have the power to sack an MP although the whip is usually removed meaning the MP continues as an independent.

It's all there in black and white. No delusion.

I'll leave you to your pathetic political point scoring.

Well I was reading a week ago an article about have Conservatives got a sexual harassment problem, waiting weeks to suspend MP David Warburton following allegations? It was quite interesting really the protection he got.

So not sure why it upsets you and other idiots, it was pretty recent story seems you are trying to make something else out.

Or this.

https://www.politico.eu/article/conservative-party...

''The case increases pressure on the Tory Party, which has faced sustained criticism for its handling of allegations of abuse by Conservative MPs and staffers, in particular for the opaque nature of its complaints process.''
