Does anyone have any good (or bad) experiences of mobile phone recycling?
I’ve used Plunc in the past and was really happy with them, but looks like they’re only accepting items from VAT registered businesses now.
A company called Sell Techs are offering the best price, but they’re not one I’ve heard of.

Many thanks.

Are you try to find somewhere to recycle it (as in scrap it - which is what the first part of your post suggests), or somewhere to buy it off you (which is what the latter part suggests)?

Can't help with the first, but for the latter try Music Magpie, CEX, Mazuma, Envirofone, etc.

Yes apologies if it wasn’t clear, I meant recycle as in purchase off me.
Just wondered whether anyone has had any particularly smooth or stressful experiences with any of the usual suspects.

I've only used Music Magpie and CEX.

I'll try CEX first and if they think my pristine 3 year old phone is 'cat d' then I'll take it elsewhere...not happened yet on 3 phones and an iPad.

I would try high street mobile phone shops and see what they offer, it seems more and more common that Mazuma and such will make a decent offer to get your device to them and then find faults to offer scrap value instead in the hope customers won't bother asking for handsets back.
