Can bmw tell if codes have been read?

Hi I have a bmw still under their warranty. I'd like to know that if I buy and use one of those code readers to just read all codes stored in the car (read only, not going to clear or code in any modifications) can the dealer see that someone has gone in and read them?


For example is there like a "codes last read date" stored in the car?
I don't want to impact the warranty I have. Thanks

I don't think so and the OBD ports are accessible, so can't see why this would be an issue anyways...

I think you're perfectly entitled to read the codes on your own car, what could they possibly be bothered about?
