Photo Stream not updating on iPhone/iPad/Mac

For the last couple of weeks the Photo Stream hasn't been updating with photos I've taken with my iPhone. Pictures that have been autosaved from WhatsApp will save and sync as normal, just photos taken with the phone won't. Pictures taken on the iPad will sync as normal, but that's far from ideal for picture taking!

Tried restarting the phone, checking permissions and turning the Photo Stream off and on again but no joy - it's only resynced about 280 pictures rather than the 1000 it normally has. Phone is up to date on iOS 15.4.1.

Any ideas on what else I can try?

There is a bug in iOS 15.4. Go into settings > Camera > Format > and select Most Compatible.

Had the same issue when I upgraded to 15.4. iOS 15.4.1 is out, don't know if it has fixed the bug. ETA you have confirmed it's still a bug.

Whoops. Missed that post when I was searching for fixes. I'll see if it'll update when I get back to WiFi, or will it only sync photos taken from now?

Seems to be with every update something quite big ends up being cocked up. Especially annoying when it's a feature they brag about. Pain in the arse!
