My recently acquired car has this on both sides, does anyone know what has caused it ?, is it common ?, and I would appreciate how I could fix it please.

Tried Duxback headlamp cleaner, which worked a treat on bringing back to life the headlamps as they had yellowed and gone dull, alas not so for the lower lamp lenses.

Thanks in advance.

Ello.
Is this on the inside? Looks to be...and I've never seen this before. Very odd.

Hi, it’s definitely the outside you can feel it. Thanks for replying, best guess at the moment is it’s from where someone tried polishing it with the wrong stuff. Can’t shift it now 🤷‍♂️

Ah.
In that case, you'll most likely have to get hardcore with wet sanding to shift that then buff it back to a clear shine.

Looks like a partly removed clear lacquer… as has been suggested. Sand down and polish up.

Lots of info out there. Basically wet sand with different grit paper altering the direction as you change to a finer paper.
