Looks like the press embargo has been lifted. There are several reviews and YouTube videos out there today. From what I’ve read DBX707 has been well received. I still think it’s a stupid name (maybe DBXS would have been better?) and I guess it won’t be long before the competition responds and dethrones it. It does look a lot meaner than standard DBX. Well done AM!

I ordered mine last week after a decent discount from the dealer.

I'd whined somewhat about the fact I'd purchased a "regular" DBX (used) from them only 3 months prior to the 707's annoucement.

Reviews are favourable and I love the "regular" car so can't wait!

Getting good reviews - sure it will be a hoot .

I can hardly tell one SUV from another. The UK roads are now covered with the things, often seen overhanging parking bays.

Please explain how to spot the, 'does look a lot meaner'.

Just my opinion Jon.

Perhaps you should read some of the reviews, or perhaps you could drop Marek an email? I’m sure he could give you a detailed summary of the key differences between them if you’re struggling to see it yourself.

hehe

Thank you, but it would be quite tedious for me, because I don't like SUVs.

Although looking huge, many don't have any additional interior space or boot capacity, just have a much high floor and therefore a raised centre of gravity.
They inevitably all have an almost identical silhouette and the pecking order is to aim for the largest possible model.

On the 707, I can see a couple of differences. Each grille slat has a horizontal indentation. The running lights consist of a horizontal line instead of a rectangle. Impressive.

If you don’t like them, why comment at all. Just another anti SUV poster in pistonheads zzzzzz

That would mean that only people who approve of the subject matter are allowed to comment.

You appear to be proposing, that we should stop answering posters questions.
Most topics would be very short, if that was seconded.

Am I allowed to say, I like Honda sports cars cornering at Oulton Park ?
Under the new rules, don't answer that.

To my eyes, the 707 looks a lot more aggressive than the "regular" DBX.

https://youtu.be/FDa0LQdqkDM?t=523

Try that video, from 8:43 to 9:15. It shows a regular DBX next to a 707 - the front bumper is clearly more aggressive and angular.
The main bit for me that I hadn't really noticed in photos, but do in that video, is how aggressive the rear diffuser area is on the 707.

Like them or not, it gives it a lot of presence in the flesh.

You can comment what you like of course. I can just post that I find it boring as per every fast SUV post.

Slow clap for trawling my post history too

Wrong

It was actually a two second glance at your profile page.

I was less than impressed by the very souless "reveal" but the coverage so far seems super positive. Hopeful that they sell loads and keep making interesting sports cars. I have a Rapide and would love a DBX, but the (checks notes) £80k uplift is a bit much, for now.
