I'm off on the 748 in 2 weeks for a little European jaunt with a mate (on his 750ss).

Down across France, through Switzerland and the Mont Blanc tunnel to arrive at Lake Como for a few days R&R...then on to Bologna to see the (closed) Ducati factory. From there across to Monaco, Monte Carlo etc before heading back up to Boulogne and home to Blighty.

I'm struggling to compile my list of things to take and so far and have the following:

Pants
Toothbrush

There must be more I need surely? ;)

Apart from the usual clothes I can only think of those cans of foam in case I get puncture but what else would you consider vital?

In addition I always carry a puncture repair kit (one with the tools and air cartridges)to get you out of trouble and carry some water and engine oil as well as the right tools to get the wheels off. Also you will need to carry spare bulbs as a legal requirement in some countries.

Bin liners are always handy for keeping stuff dry, especially if you only have soft luggage(and for seperating your dirty and clean stuff!)
