Have I just poisoned myself ?
Discussion
Yesterday I had a Tesco Pasty and warmed it in the Microwave.
Today as I finished another I noticed the heating guidelines on the package only have details on oven warming and it says NOT SUITABLE FOR MICROWAVE OVEN.
However it does not contain raw meat as it says can be eaten cold.
Can anyone explain this?
Am I about to spend the rest on the week sat down in the one man office?

Thats the nanny state for you!
You're lucky the thing didn't contain nuts as well!
Someone who shall remain nameless takes the cooking instructions on things a little too literally sometimes, I'm from the 'put the bloody thing in the oven and when its cooked, its cooked' camp, but I'm constantly astounded by the fear that deviating from the printed instructions will result in a grizzly demise.

Mrs A reads these sell by dates and bins stuff the nanosecond the date has expired, I'm guessing she sees all these little bacteria looking at their watches waiting for the off
Mine does this too! I just look at it, smell it and taste a bit, if it passes the tests, it's good to go!

Your not alone mate,
Mine does this with stuff thats been in the freezer, fridge, cupboard. You name it, even a day over use by and it's in the bin. The amount of decent food we've had to throw away because of this doesn't bear thinking about.

Yes, you will in fact drop dead within 24 hours of consuming any warmed pasty...
Well this is truely good news, I'm OK and my girlfriends tendency to live by the best before dates is normal(ish).
Just out of interest does anyone elses other half have to keep just about everything in the fridge? Jam, Ketchup, paste, etc. We have bare cupboards and no room in the fridge
Now when I make dinner for both of us I make it my goal to get as many out of date items onto her plate as possible
Although one word of warning, if you keep opened baked beans in the fridge for about a week, just listen to your better half, even if they look smell and taste OK... they do really bad things to your insides

I'm lucky if mine puts anything back! She's happy to plant herself on the living room floor with bread and butter, scoff a couple of slices and leave the butter out till I put it back (next day in some cases).
