In late Nov last year, I ordered a battery chainsaw from Amazon.

Coming up to Christmas, I still had not taken delivery. I contacted customer services to see what the delay was.

CS apologized, stating it would be with me very soon. This happened on three separate occasions!

I actually forgot about it. Today I had an email telling me it would be delivered tomorrow.

So, 19 or 20 weeks from order to delivery. 'anybody beat that?

JK, nah that is an awful long time, I've had stuff from China delivered quicker than that.

In May last year I ordered a book (Burnt Offerings by Robert Marasco) from Waterstones online.

I received an email telling me when it would be available for collection shortly afterwards.

At the start of March I received an email telling me it was available to collect....I had completely forgotten about it.

I ordered some in January that should've arrived in March. Got an email last week saying it'll now be January 2023.

Although not as bad as it could be - during one of my searches, I found some that were estimated for January ... 2027!

Ordered some resin bases for a tabletop gaming project I was working on just as Lockdown hit, took 18 months to turn up by which point the project was finished and sold. Forgot all about the bases until I had a random box turn up.

Had similar with a huuuge storage box I’d ordered - few hundred quid.

Chose the firm due to their promise of quick delivery.

Anyway… after a while of them being utterly ste at communication and CS I got my money back. I have a feeling they were just trying to drop ship.

4 months later the box turned up!

Not the same league but ordered a bike from evans cycles on 21st March. Still don’t have it. It’s the 16th April. What’s worse is Hermes keep pretending to fail to deliver. Evans refuse to refund me until a month is up.

In 2015 I phoned a local builder who we had used for a few jobs and asked for a quote to cut the joins in our kitchen worktop.

He said he would call round when he had a few spare minutes. I am sure he will be round soon.

When I was six my Mum and Dad told me that there was going to be an addition to our family and I got really excited expecting it to be a rabbit or a puppy. They explained it was going to be a baby or rather two babies as Mum was expecting twins. I think I must have kicked up a fuss as I remember a promise being made about a rabbit.

A few months later the twins arrived, both girls and I thought, "Great but where's my rabbit?."

I'm 72 now, still waiting for that fking rabbit...

Supply chainsaw problem

I did order a record from the south american river store.

10cc - Collected in vinyl.

Order placed 15th November 2017. Still waiting for it.

It was originally due Jan 2018, but I notice is says 'This title has not yet been released' now.
