Good morning Gentlemen!

I’ve awoken this morning to a ‘Congratulations E-mail’ from the National lottery.

I’d purchased a euro millions ticket yesterday on-line (which I rarely do) .

Just picked some random numbers .

I hastily logged into my account, heart beating like hammer, quickly wording my resignation letter to work, car exotica dreams, sugar babes - all of that stuff running through my mind.

I’ve won £3.30.

I just wondered if you guys have any ideas what I can do with it?

Note: no begging letters please.

Do it today though or by tomorrow you will only be able to afford half a loaf with your new found wealth given the way prices are rising!!

I get this every now and then. I sometimes struggle to handle the crushing disappointment.

Read the title & thought you’d been hit by a steam train!

Still, at least you can buy a couple of litres of Tescos finest with your winnings hehe

It’s bloody appalling isn’t it?

It’s a bit like that Peter Kay sketch about Bullseye, and Jim Bowen kicking the contestants when they are down.

Look what you could have won….

I just sigh when I get that mail now. Like you I normally win enough to get half a pint of lager down the local. They should just have in brackets after the email title (dont get too excited)

I’d go back and query it; errors have occurred before in lotteries:

You may have actually won £33.30!

I also get a similar feeling of excitement then disappointment each month when I get a notification that I’ve won a prize on the Premium Bonds.

I console myself with the fact that at least I have won something.

On several occasions, I've received an email saying "we've got good news about your National Lottery ticket" - I log on and find I've won £2.70...

A couple of years ago, I got a slightly different email - "we've got great news about your National Lotery ticket" - Oooo!, I thought - that sounds more exciting than "good news" - I logged on, just like OP, mentally writing my resignation letter and choosing between an R8 Plus, or a 911 and a Kia for SWMBO... Turns out that "great" is better than "good"...

by about £2.30....

A friend of mine said to me last summer.

“Do you actually know what it means to be a millionaire?”

And it totally took me aback .

I’ve known the guy for over 30 years, he is an incredibly sharp dude.. He had an idea, progressed it, it snowballed.

He has made an absolute fortune.

I don’t think he ever set out to do that.

We were stood on a fell-side flying model airplanes - like we did 30 years ago.

It really is hard to say what wealth brings you?
