Which wax do you use?

Hi,
So I wanted to wax my car, not sure which one to choose, would like one that lasts a few months, however I just watched this video and he said something that I had never heard before, he says if you touch wax onto black plastic trim it will be stained white and its permanent, is this true? He went to protect the black plastic trim of a Porsche and I never saw people do this at the local car wash and I never heard of this and I don't know which wax would do this, I used wax in the drive thru car washes many times but wonder is that why I ended up using back to black on my previous cars? I won't be putting my new car through the drive through. Ideally, want something easy to apply that wont give me arm ache, and one that will help keep the scratches I just fixed up with G3 Pro looking good. Thanks in advance.

The market is saturated with products so it’s a difficult choice.
In reality any off the shelf product in Halfords from the likes of Autoglym/Meguiars/Turtle wax will do just as good a job as the higher end products.
Farecla also do a paste wax that has some decent reviews available there too.
Some prefer a spray on wipe off type product for ease of use and that can help apply it more often as it’s not such an arm buster.

Depends what you are after. Shine, longevity etc.
I use Collinite 476 twice a year, before and after winter, then either chemical guys pure 3x paste wax or Natty's paste wax.
In the long distant past I used P21. This was great for shine but didn't last long. It's now known as R226 or something and about £30 a pot. My P21 was about £15.
I do use a glaze or filler before wax too. Normally Poorboy's Black hole

I've had trim staining with Turtle Wax and Soft99 Fusso Coat. The staining from Fusso was more stubborn, but one of the cleaners (might have been a rubber cleaner, not sure) that I tried took it straight off the plastic trim.
Fusso Coat stinks of hydrocarbons and is a very durable wax, and even then the staining could be removed.
Many paste waxes will last a few months, depending on mileage. If you want to try a couple without breaking the bank, you can get sample pots of Finishkare FK1000P (cheap and really easy to apply/remove) from CleanYourCar, the Dodo Juice core waxes (around £7 on eBay) and ODK/Waxed Junkies. Reckon on about 10ml per application.
Waxes that are harder to apply but have a good reputation for durability include Bilt Hamber Double Speed Wax, Soft99 Kiwami and Fusso (liquid and paste versions available).
