Doug DeMuro reviews the Chimaera in the USA
Discussion
Incorrect information in several ways. The bottom dial directs the air towards the windscreen, vents or feet, it is not any kind of temperature control as I remember.
Only very early models like that one have no vents in front of the gearstick.
If he bothered to undo the velcro sides, the roof would go further down.
I'm sure almost everybody here knows HC is the camshaft, NOT high compression.
The indicators aren't self-cancelling because that feature is broken, probably during the fitting of the aftermarket stalk, and it is very much NOT the only Chimaera in the USA. They can be personally imported at 25 years old, so several l have bene imported since 2019. Interesting that its on 'historic' register in Penn.
And the font on the rear badge isn't cheap, it's classic.
ETA: As for 'always wanting to try a TVR,' he reviewed a Canadian registered Tuscan in 2016. Despite my picking, I quite like his reviews better than the 'look at boss car innit' types.....

He is a very irritating chap that gets quite a lot wrong, case in point here, but whenever Doug does review obscure old cars that have fallen off the radar, then that usually helps garner more interest in them and maybe we'll see more of them going over there and then driving up the values of them, can only be a good thing.
The guy goes through me, he's like a more cringey American Quentin Wilson, kind of expecting him to try and sell me some QVC snake oil for the car *shudder*
