We're thinking of getting a mortgage to move home, but we had a nightmare experience with our last mortgage advisor, who couldn't seem to grasp our finances (mixture of employed and self employed).

I'm trying to find someone to get some advice from who can give us an indication of our changes of getting the mortgage we want based on our current financial situation, or whether my wife needs to move to a full-time employed position to increase our chances.

Calculators on mortgage sites are saying we should be able to borrow the amount we need, but the mortgage advisor who handled our last remortgage said we could borrow far less.

To give an idea of our situation

£70k a year household income which is a combination of me being full-time self employed, and my wife has three jobs, one employed, and two self employed.
Property we're looking at is £330k.
We have £100k equity/cash to put into the new property.
Excellent credit scores.
Ages are 42 and 38.
