Stuck in a traffic queue on my way home from work, 6/7miles at 35-40mph in a 60 limit in a queue of around 15 vehicles and the reason why.....
A b*&ody Renault Zoe holding everyone up!
There is another thread running regards 'why does no one overtake?' do these slow driver not use their mirror or are they just trying to eek out as much mileage as possible from each charge?
When everyone finaly managed to overtake (short dual carriageway) the Zoe driver was mid 40's I guess and was just sat there both hands on the wheel looking dead ahead.

I had to follow about 10 bike riders out for a pedal, I was 6 cars back and the front car would not overtake so we all trundled along for a few miles at 15mph. A brave golf tried to overtake and car number one nearly hit them when they finally tried to overtake but bottled itithout checking their mirrors.
Bring back overtaking so we all get better at it again.
"They’ have been trying to control speeding with cameras and police etc….who knew it could be fixed by inventing range anxiety….it really is the future!

Around me, I am frequently finding larger V8 pickups are being driven very slowly now. With the price of fuel here (yeah, I know, its still cheap in comparison to the UK or Australia), I am finding more and more drivers tickling the throttle from a stop sign or traffic light. Sloooooowly creeping up to speed to eek out as much MPG as possible. Its so frustrating and not just EV's.

Are you seeing more V8 cars and trucks with 'for sale' signs in front yards?NDA said:
I get held up all the time. By ICE cars - which seem a deal slower than my Tesla.
Ditto, I drive my Tesla exactly the same way as I drove my RS7, having an EV has not slowed me down, granted I need to charge on a long run but I still get to a charger at the speed I want to go (legally of course!).
I drove past a Leaf on a motorway a couple of days ago that must have been going 45mph in the inside lane. No idea if he was conserving range or just slow AF but morons aren't unique to EV's, nor are dangerously slow drivers.

In other news, today I was held up by someone in a diesel Mercedes who drove at 20mph in a 30, and accelerated to 25mph when the limit increased to 40mph.
I didn't realise until just now that this was worthy of a post on PH, but there you are.
No, it apparently needs a topic, not a post!I didn't realise until just now that this was worthy of a post on PH, but there you are.
I think a lot of ICE cars are being driven slowly at the moment due to fuel costs. No issue with it as it usually makes overtaking easier.
I have noticed that EVs tend to drive at a steady pace on motorways - probably only notice because they have a lot of performance potential but don’t seem to use it much. Then again, if you’re driving a 6L V8 the difference between cruising at 75 and 95 is likely minimal in terms of fuel consumption, as efficiency is pretty poor all round. Also, if you buy that kind of car you’re less likely to be focussed on fuel costs.
