Hi folks,
Anyone recently gone through the process of comparing smart locks?! I think I've whittled it down to 2 as follows. I cannot/do not need one with a key override as my long door handle impedes the key when is in the lock - my new door has been supplied with a long handle and its got an electronic catch release. But the smart lock if a barrel/euro cylinder fit and with the key in it hits the handle so cannot turn it to open the door. I also think the quality of the supplied lock is a bit low hence looking for alternatives.

So I am looking at the BOLD Smart Lock and the Simpled VF Smart lock.

Pros of the BOLD lock is its fitted inside the door and operates from mobile app or a pin code where you have to turn the handle the appropriate number of turns like a safe to open it if phone battery is flat. I also like this because its got proximity sensor so when you are close by it unlocks the lock.
Cons - no other way to unlock apart from a remote which is an add on. Can share access etc and set time entry.

The Simpled one has fingerprint sensor, card ready (and a key tags included), app, bluetooth and can share etc in a similar way. Mounted on the outside.

I don't need one like the Yale that uses a handle, hence looking at these.

Any thoughts or experience of either?

thanks

looks interesting although no google integration...trying to ditch alexa. Although I could utilise SmartThings. Like the idea of auto locking/unlocking. Do you have this one?

Can't comment on home integration..

Fitted ultion as they were recommended on here - search previous threads about smart door locks pistonheads on Google.

Do like the easy install into a multi lever doorset, the electronic key sharing with family and friends, and the physical key back up.
Battery life is so so, depends on frequency of use I suppose.

Is your home insurance valid if you use these?

Last time I looked the house had to be locked with a key if you were out, which seemed to invalidate the point of a smart lock to me
