Dear Piston Heads

Just started a new post as a spin off from an old one as now dealing with different issues ....
As before please can you help?

I have recently bought the Humax Aura Free View Player and recorder and connected to a Loewe Art TV using the HDMI cable, however we are having a few issues

1. We cannot completely control the TV with the Humax Aura remote . I understood when Aura was linked when paired it would completely take over, but when we turn TV and aura off we have to press 0 "AV" on the TV remote and then a pops up displays the source options . We then have to click on FVP -4K GTR (HDMI source) and click ok twice on the TV remote to activate the TV and receive programmes , the Aura remote can then be used to control the TV. It would be easier if everything could be turned on and off using the Aura remote only

2. Also when watching PBS America a few times we lost the programme and the Aura showed
the on screen message "The receiver is not receiving a signal or the signal is too weak" Anyone know how this can be prevented please? The signal was never an issue before and we used to receive all the channels

3. And when using Google Assistant and I said "find crime movies/ documentaries" it appeared to only find Amazon prime movies and Google Movies/ programmes , nothing from Android TV standard channels or any of the apps.e.g Channel 4, BBC iplayer

Any ideas please, on how to solve these issues please?......

Thanks for your advice / thoughts

1. Check in the TV settings, there may be an option for default input. Or there may be a setting for HDMI control or similar. I have a Panasonic tv, when I switch on my Sky box or Humax BT box the TV automatically senses the HDMI input and switches over.

2. I assume you have cabled from the aerial via the Humax and then to the TV? The Tuner in the Humax may be less sensitive than the one in the TV, so if you have a marginal signal it comes up with that message. I have the same issue on my BT/Humax at my holiday home, gets on my nerves, I would prefer it to just break up a bit, but the message screen comes up and you have to press back to receive the programme. I suspect PBS is on a weaker channel mux, what transmitter are you on? Check your aerial cables are all good and the connectors are good. Some ready made aerial cables are really poor, try changing them.

3. Haven't got clue, don't use anything like that, it's easier to press buttons.

Haven't used a Loewe for a while, but IIRC, when you use it as monitor rather than a TV, in the setup it asks you what input you want it to switch on at.
If you currently have it set as a TV it will always come on at the aerial input (I think).
You'll have to do (again IIRC) a "Repeat Initial Installation" and set it up as a monitor.
There may be an HDMI control setting in there somewhere too.
Can't help you with the others.
