The OEKC is the Open Endurance Karting Championship, basically a non-MSA endurance championship for Rotax, ProKarts etc. I’ve always looked at it as something I want to do because I like endurance racing, strategy and karting. Given a half decent Road Max is around £2k, running costs are low, is there anyone interested in setting up a team?….

The arrive and drive package looks pretty good value for money.

Yeah I’d not seen that, £250 each with a team of four would be good value for money in terms of track time. 6 hours between 4 people is 75 mins each.

Copy and paste from the website

You can hire a fully race prepared Rotax-Max kart to race in the OEKC endurance series or you can join a team for OEKC racing too.
For further information please call René on 07886 677005.

So what do you get for your hard earned cash? 45 mins practice & 15 mins qualifying. followed by two 2.5 hour races.

£295 – Race Entry
£155 – Maxxis HG1 Tyres (New)
£80 – Race Fuel inc 2 Stroke oil
£225-275 – Kart Prep Prior To Each Race Inc. Chains, Sprockets, Exh Matting, Axle, Brake Pads and the list goes on etc etc
£100 – Transport Costs (Diesel)
£100 – Mechanic

Total Hire costs are £1000 per race.. …( eg 4 drivers = £250 each / 6 drivers = £170 each )
These Karts are race prepared to a very high standard & win races ! ! !

One thing to bear in mind is that this assumes there's no damage to the kart.
OEKC's a+d is usually run by a private team such as GMS, Rene (who runs OEKC) is really just introducing you to them. If the kart gets wrecked, you're paying for the repairs.

Compared with C100 or Dmax, that's quite a big difference.
