Hi,

We use DHL for our international import/exports for our ecommerce business but am having awful trouble breaking down their statements for VAT purposes, they don't seem to give you a summary for each direct debit payment like DPD, and Royal Mail do. The current work flow is that I have to download the statement, search for each invoice on the statement within their MyBill portal, download and then and manually add up all the individual amounts for VAT, Duty, shipping, charges etc. I have told them this is not going to scale well with our growing account but apparently there is no solution...

For those have them, how does everybody else reconcile their DHL accounts? There has got to be another way?!

I suggest that you register for mybill.dhl.com, once you have done that you can link your accounts. When you login, there is a facility to download your invoice files in various spreadsheet formats. We use the CSV forma and then you can more easily access the data for reconciliations.

We resell DHL, UPS and Fedex services at discounts to ecom businesses, so buy huge amounts from these carriers.
