Help identifying old car
Discussion
Hi, I have a photo of an old (vintage) car which we are tying to identify. There may or may not be an accompanying photo hence the description.
It’s RHD with air intakes on the low rear wings single circular headlamps on the bonnet and rectangular indicators above a chrome bumper.
The logo looks like a circular crown in an elongated pentagon with writing above it that I can’t read.
The bonnet has a single crease in the centre, 4 doors with a chrome strip along the side.
Index is 658BYN if that helps.
It’s an image we use to help people living with dementia but we are all at a loss to ID it.
Thank you.

On my way to school in the (mid?) 60s, I used to pass a garage that serviced the recently introduced mini-cabs which were red Renault Dauphines plastered in adverts.
I had (may still have) a Dinky model of that. And a brief article here .. https://www.motorsportmagazine.com/archive/article...
My Dad had a secondhand one of these in the 60s, it was red and caught fire one day while we were bump starting it because the fuel pipe had come away from the carburettor. My recollection is that it was just an interference fit into the carb but I was only about 13 or 14 at the time so that might not be correct. I do know that it put my Mum off red cars for life!

I'd never seen an 11 before! And I'm amazed how similar it is to the Piazza, Guigiaro's Ace of Clubs that Isuzu took up and marketed:The Renault was designed by Robert Opron, and both cars appeared in 1981, but Guigiaro's was shown at the 1979 Motor Show as a concept car. Did Opron see it there?

I think you might need to see an 11 in the metal. It is a stumpy hatchback and nothing like the Isuzu Piazza which is a longer coupe, more Scirocco. The Renault was designed by Robert Opron, and both cars appeared in 1981, but Guigiaro's was shown at the 1979 Motor Show as a concept car. Did Opron see it there?
