I have a feeling they will throw everything from the last 9 at this and it will be epically poor because of it (hopes to be proved wrong)

I'm just wondering what new insanity they can possibly drag in?

Aliens? Vampires? Zombies? Time travel? They've already disconnected from reality so what's left?

Space, land, sea, air, trains, you name it they have done it, personally I'd like to see them strip it all away and go very much back to the basics of the first one, but I doubt if that will happen, it will be yah de yah bad people, impossible mission, family (return of John Cena?), nearly all going wrong, oh they've just pulled it off because...precision drivers... and the Rock, back to family...end.

Which is a real shame as I'm old enough to have enjoyed the first one when it came out, 2-4 were OK, Fast 5 was a return to form (may have been the peak), then we have had more and more exaggerated stories from 6 to 9.

How can you make that first promotional post and not word it as "Fast 10 your seatbelts"?

First choice for the new director is Louis Leterrier, who has done the Now You See Me films, The Transporter 1 and 2, and The Incredible Hulk. https://collider.com/fast-10-director-louis-leterr...

Lin's main gripe was with Vin Diesel, "Diesel shows up late to the set. He doesn’t know his lines. And he shows up out of shape."

Which pretty much backs up Dwayne Johnson’s very public rant at a certain cast member on the Fast movie sets being a ‘lazy candy ass’ and him then pulling out of the main movies and vowing to not work with Vin again.

Diesel clearly has some ego issues as Lin is supposed to be a really easy guy to work with. So if Vin’s behaviour is bad enough for him to pull out it must be bad.

What I can't get my head around is how these films have made Vin Diesel a very wealthy guy as one of the central guys in the franchise yet he shows this level of disrespect to the entire team...

Apparently he was the same on the last XXX movie. Reports that he was always late and some days didn’t even bother showing up for filming and when challenged he would ball out crew members. Quite the ego no matter what he works on by all accounts.

Rock was clearly onto something.

(Part of me now wants Lin to direct the next H & S movie as a real ‘fk you’ to Diesel)
