Looking for some Wi-Fi advice please from those with more tech knowledge than me….so that’s probably everyone!

Due to go to Corfu in August but have just found out the place we are staying has no Wi-Fi, a terrifying prospect with two preteens in tow!

I have an iPhone 7 with unlimited data from 3 which includes international roaming.

I want to insure that I have the best level of Wi-Fi possible…..will what I have be good enough or would I be better off getting some form of portable hotspot? I’m not sure if a dedicated device would be more efficient than a phone?

Thanks for any advice.

Do they even have 4g/5g? I would suspect parts of Greece don't even have 3g. Anyway, as long as your carrier supports mobile tethering I would say it would be good enough.

You could get a travel router...

And use a USB drive to add loads of films, etc for them to watch via the device.

Or go old school... and use your unlimited but restrict to a few hours a day and blame the local network.

I think you'll find that your Unlimited Data will actually have a "fair use" limit when roaming - I guess 20GB or something like that.

Worth checking.

3 is 12 Gb I think, and £2 per day if contract started after Oct 2021
