Just back from Scotland
Discussion
Just back from a 1500 mile, 5 day trip to Skye and back.
Managed to ride though the Hurricane that hit Birmingham last week on my way up, and get absolutly soaked to the skin at Penrith, but 4 days of beautiful sunshine soon dried both biker and bike.
Some of the best roads in the country for a dual sport bike with offroad ability can be found in the highlands, and on skye.
Pity it all ended, and I had to ride 600 miles back down south!.
Put TKC80's pon both the front and back (as recommended on "The Long Way Around"). great on and off the road.
Africa Twin, the weapon of choice ;)

Stunning roads and very friendly folk - especially to bikers and folk seem genuinely interested in where you're going etc.
Took my bike up to Perth a few weeks ago and can't wait for the next 'business trip' up there.
You can prolong the fun by coming down the A6 over Shap rather than the M6 because the motorway is bloody boring and those camera vans keep stopping on the bridges for their butties etc....
