Hi All, I've seen/met a couple of owners with the new GT3 who are saying that they got a factory build slot, but have no history in buying previous GT cars or even a lot of Porsche's in general. Now, they sceptic in me is saying that they are talking B/S and they just don't want to admit they have paid £100k overs...but it also might be possible that they are telling the truth.

Anyone else heard similar stories?

I know a few 992 GT3 owners and they bought them new, to their spec. They've had GT products in the past but they are not million-pounds-a-year spenders. They're customers who are loyal to their individual OPCs.

Someone has to buy them new, and not everyone is a flipper!

Nope, don’t know a single 992 GT3 owner in the UK who didn’t have a long standing relationship with the delivering OPC.
Not that I know every 992 GT3 owner smile

It looks like some kind of disc attached to the original rim

Yes indeed, but why would you do that, those wheels need to be shown off, not covered up!

Maybe some aero benefit or just likes how it looks - seems like it is color matched to the calipers (the writing)

It's an aftermarket wheel, and not a cheap one either.
