Apart from them being the best band *ever* (John Peel: when I die I want them to be buried with me), there’s a really nice article about them in the guardian.

Only seen them twice - once in Kendal in the late 80’s (utter riot) and 3 years ago in Newcastle (lots of middle aged men, myself included, but also a surprising number of teens and 20’s - possibly taken by their dads).

Have never seen them live but they have some of the sharpest/funniest lyrics out there.

Just seen that they are playing The Devil's Arse in August - will definitely go to that if I'm around.

Having been vaguely aware of HMHB over the years I was prompted to check them out a couple of years ago when they came up on a couple of podcasts I listen to.
Have since fallen for their charms hook line and sinker and now have everything they have recoded. Wish I had 'discovered' them sooner!
Saw them live for the first time at the Ritz in Manchester earlier in the year and they did not disappoint. Also have a ticket for Devils Arse and Blackpool later in the year.
Probably the only band to mention my home town in a song - No frills, handy for the hills.....

I'm sure that 'Joy Divison Oven Gloves' won 6music's favourite single?
