Wiper blade replacement video

I just replaced the wiper blades on my A110 with the Volvo part 32237898. I thought I'd film it so others can see how easy it is to do this — there's a lot of chat about it but nowhere that actually shows it. HTH:

when I did mine I did them in situ- remove cap, slide blade out, chop new blade and then slide new blade in.

Update: Volvo part number 31693570 is just the inserts. Same process, less work and less waste.

how often should you change them? and does the Volvo part number 31693570 cover both wipers or just the bigger one?

Replace when necessary, as with any other car. I replaced mine with generic inserts taken from Bosch AeroTwin wiper blades, readily available everywhere. The cross section is slightly different than that of the original Alpine insert; the insert is a bit 'higher', if you will - but I challenge anyone to tell the difference just by looking at the car. I used one 575mm and one 450mm blade, if I recall correctly. Cost me the princely sum of 28 euros and 21 cents plus the whole of 10 minutes of my life.
