Air still - anyone got one?

I’ve hankered after one for ages and me and my brother in law have just treated ourselves and gone halves on one! I’m over the moon and can’t wait to get it going - my Mrs, on the other hand…
I have 5g of home brew Christmas pudding wine that will be ready later in the year and I think will make a really nice warming winter spirit, so I’m going to distill 1g of that. We also bought some spirit flavouring (spiced rum and caramel vodka) which we’ll make once the first wash is fermented. Not expecting miracles, obviously, but both of us do quite a bit of home brewing so think it’ll be an interesting extension to that
. Probably end up more as a toy than anything though!
Anyone else use one? Any tips/things to avoid/favoured recipes? Probably going to mix up doing ‘blank’ bases and then adding flavour with maybe a grain wash and perhaps making some other flavoured home brewed wine to go through it too.
(I’m aware of the legalities of distilling etc, btw! We’re not planning on becoming the new moonshiners, just a hobby for ourselves, so shhh
