Anyone else had an eye watering renewal quote?
Normally they try and get away with bumping it by £100, but mine has just gone up by over 200%!

I’ve not paid £1400 since I was 18 (that’s nearly 30 years ago!) biggrin

Nothings changed either…

I thought they were supposed to go down because they can't give special offers to new customers (subsidised by existing customers).

Some price rises are genuinely due to supply costs rising. I suspect others are made up by people thinking 'Well inflation is 10% so let's slap 10% on just because we can'. Not a spiral to the bottom but a spiral to the top...

Yeah... 681 to 1400 is a bit rich isn't it!
especially when nothing has changed!

if anything it should be less as we've goine from a 1 to a 2 car household.

I always put mine through a comparison service. Last few years I've been using Quidco for cashback too. Generally get between 20 and 60 quid back on anything I buy.

When my car insurance renewal came through from Adrian Flux, I was surprised it had gone down 45% to £396.

Not my experience, insurance going up by 50%

Tried all the websites and they gave roughly the same price.

Tried shielas wheels down from 250 to £160 so guess who got the business?

Thought they were going to give same price for renewal as new customers? Another government con.

Could be parts for your car are harder to come by (supply chain issues) and thus it would off the road for longer in the event of an accident = higher risk of a big payout.

Some manufacturers have been more badly affected by supply chain disruption than others, which would explain different experiences for different people.

Yes flooble I agree, the Indy I use for my car is refusing work as he has no storage and premises are choc a block with cars waiting on spares.

I had to go elsewhere for mot this year, not happy cos Indy knows car and it’s history.

The service items it needed were in stock, oils filters etc but if car failed mot on something which turned out to be not available I can see his point

Not quite; unless enshrined in law any difference is down to the insurance company.

How does '+50%' fit with ' down from 250 to £160'?

I've just had my renewal through, £712 last year, £520 this year.

Happy with that, could save about £70 if I moved but I'm not that fussed if it means not worrying about a new policy with a new company etc, so I'll just let it auto renew.

I have a multi car policy with Admiral. Last year my premium was £1,200 (4 cars).

Renewal came through the other day for £660

No changes at all.

Flabbergast and delighted in equal measure!
