I recently purchased what has been my (realistic) deam car, a Noble M12.

My dad had one about 17 years ago and it was my favourite of his. He' had many fun, sporty cars but this was the one and I wanted one ever since.

Fast forward to 2022 and after many a time almost buying one over the last few years, I finally got one.

It's a rather leggy example, so it's definitely a project car but it was priced well below other examples so I had to take the gamble.

It needs a respray, some minor repair and a lot of sprucing up. I also found that the clutch seems to be slipping, a £2k engine out job, so not off to the best start but hey ho...

First on my list are small jobs like replacing the broken LEDs with OEM halogens, fitting the number plates correctly, refreshing the chassis with some rust treatment paint, the list goes on!

Here it is so far:

It's going to be a long road but I'm looking forward to it.

I can't believe the attention the car gets, I've had some interesting cars before but none that gets so much interest. First petrol station I pull in to, someone asks to take a photo.

Clutch aside, the car seems to drive very well and is very much an occasion, something that I appreciate over some oyher cars I've had. Namely I had a 997.1 C2S before this and it was mundane by comparison and less well put together, which was a major surprise- no rattles or squeaks here!

Overall, very happy with it so far and will update as I progress with the car.

Lovely! Would love one of these. Please share how you get on!

Definitely a driver's car, although built in fairly small numbers so not the easiest to get ahold of

I would have thought a clutch was a decent diy on that if you remove the rear clamshell and use an engine crane.

Very nice. Doesn't need a respray, just a few bits tidying.

Did you buy this from a town beginning with S?

If so, I think I saw you picking it up!

It's deceptive, unfortunately up close it has micro bubbles everywhere but it looks good from a few feet so not bad for now

Unfortunately my skills are rather limited on that front so definitely not something I could DIY

I was looking at nobles very recently and there was quite a spread of prices upto circa 50-55k for the very best examples. I think they are stunning looking still but they come with a lot of regular foibles by the look of it and also need fairly expensive services. I spoke to one of the specialists for the cars (Midlands? ) and he couldn't have been more helpful. genuinely went out of his way to give me costs/faults/tips. Also the Facebook group were great too, one of the guys on there who has a you tube channel with a few videos on also really helpful. It seems a good ownership group.

Nice looking car op they have firmed up in price but bang for buck still hard to top.Had mine since 07 and on 124k miles having an engine rebuild as we speak but up to recently has been a pretty reliable piece of kit and cheap to run too. Definitely wort joining the fb group. Here many moons ago was best place for Noble help/info but has died a slow death sadly.

The community has even really helpful, seems like a very small but passionate group.

I've joined the FB group and spoken to the main specialist Jetstream who were really helpful before and after buying the car, it turns out they owned my car at one point, as did Tony Moy who co-founded or funded Noble, so nice bit of history to the guy.

I phoned Noble for some help with parts and paint codes and again, very helpful and to my surprise even the Noble parts guy was on the fb group!

I saw your one on the forum.

This is mine, had it for 6 months or so and it is fantastic fun, mostly because of all the attention it gets! I actually viewed mine at jetstream and they couldn't have been nicer. Mine had the front plate moves and a spray before i took it (the stick on plate just took all the paint off the clam.

It also had £9k spent on it last July (some of which was rebuilding the gearbox) so all feels quite fresh, but it had clearly been sitting for long time (only 12k miles) so the body / trim isn't perfect (i am not sure many of them are).

The hard bit is finding the right time / situations to use it as it is a bit of an event and not something I would want to leave in a public carpark.

Have fun.

Fantastic cars. I can understand why it draws interest.

The chap with the 124k example, was that all you, was it a daily?
