W124 1990 aftermarket alarm

[layercake]

Hi all
Cars been sitting with no battery for years. The central locking fob worked previously but isn't now. I have tried both fobs and new battery's in them to no avail

Does anyone know if the fob can be programmed easily?

Thanks
