In light of the fact that it was (as George Dubya said, cos he can't pronouce the guy's name!) the AQ second in command who spouted his poisonous bile on Al Jazeera yesterday, and old bin Liner himself has not been heard from since November last year, does the PH massive think the guy is dead or alive?

And if so, where is he?

Personally I am not sure if he is alive or dead, but if he is alive then I think he is up in the NW Frontier Province of Pakistan with the rest of the Taliban-style nutters.

I think he is. The lastest threats coming from that area are from his right hand man and not him, so I presume he died a while back but they wish to keep the man alive for the followers as it does not look good that their 'Leader' is dead.
I suspect they will release some generic video of bin-larden with no time references or clues as to when it was made.

edit: Gwammer and speeling was never a strong point

You'd have thought that from a propaganda point of view he'd have done the video himself?

My moneys on him being brown bread.

Alive and well with his family in Saudi, being dead entirely for tax purposes.

Current intelligence indicates that he was wounded recently but then subsequently published a voice recording saying he was healing well...... personally I recon he's either very ill or dead. Access to decent medical services will be difficult and all it takes is a little infection and he's at deaths door for a long(ish) time.....

Fingers crossed eh?

There is a rumour that he has/had a severe kidney problem. Considering the lack of communication from the figurehead it does kinda imply something amiss...it's easy to get a video, not quite so easy to get high standard medical care/equipment in the border regions (if that's where he is).

Old, but funny:

From: Bin Laden, Osama
To: All AlQuieda Fighters
Subject: The Cave

Hi guys.

We've all been putting in long hours recently but we've really come together as a group and I love that. Big thanks to Omar for putting up the poster that says "There is no 'I' in team" as well as the Garfield that says "Hang In There, Baby." Very humorous. However, while we are fighting a jihad, we can't forget to take care of the cave. And frankly I have a few concerns -

1st of all, while it's good to be concerned about cruise missiles, we should be even more concerned about the carpet dust in our cave. We want to avoid excessive dust inhalation, (a health and safety issue) - so we need to sweep the cave daily, I've done my bit on the cleaning rota...........have you? I've posted a sign up sheet near the cave reception area (next to the halal toaster).

2nd, it's not often I make a video address but when I do, I'm trying to scare most of the world population, okay? That means that while we're taping, please do not ride your scooter in the background or keep doing the 'Wassup' thing just while we're taping. Thanks.

3rd: Food. I bought a box of Dairylea recently, clearly wrote "Ossy" on the front, and put it on the top shelf. Today, two of my Dairylea slices were gone. Consideration. That's all I'm saying.

4th: I'm not against team chanting and all that, but, we must distance ourselves from the Westerner's bat and ball games. Please do not chant "Ossy Ossy Ossy Oi Oi Oi" everytime I ride past on the donkey.

Thanks

Last, we've heard that there may be Western soldiers in disguise trying to infiltrate our ranks. I want to set up patrols to look for them. First patrol will be Omar, Muhammad, Abdul, Akbar, and Dave.

Love you lots, Group Hug.
Os.

Oh...and I reckon the fker is still alive too, although as said above, if he has kicked the bucket, could well have been his kidneys.

Seriously thinking, i would of thought the best place to hide for him would be Pakistan, every other surrounding country is mostly desolate and not so easy to hide from spy satellites and UAV's. In Pakistan there are millions of people and many cities to hide in amongst.

Won't make much difference to AQ, they're more of a Hydra now than a snake so icing one leader won't really matter.

As for his money well I'm pretty sure he'll have that sown up to be used by AQ in the event of his death.

George Bush and Tony Blair must be praying he's still alive. Its much easier to whip the public into a killing mood if you have someone to direct the venom at....

My bet is that he's recieving medical attention somewhere...

You've got admit one thing - the finances of AQ must be much better because they've bought themselves a new camcorder for these messages of hate.

The original cameras were useless. I mean - how can you terrorise the world when you've got a battered old Sony Camcorder off ebay which uses VCR? I mean, the least you could do is buy a 3CCD jobby with MiniDV.

And also HD widescreen - many of these fundamentalists are wealthy individuals and have widescreen tvs - so why deny your audience?

My point exactly.. Hiding in Afghanistan seems a bit pointless as a lot of it is desert, making spotting convoys, camps, etc easy.
