Decided to change Diff oil as it’s about 3 year since it was supposed to have been done by a local garage . Only 1 big nut on side to drain and fill .Couldn’t get socket on for chassis tubes in way but managed to slide mole grips up and lock on, came loose easy . I drained with a little electric oil pump. Less than 1 litre of thin dark grey oil came out . Refilled with correct amount of new oil. I didn’t think Diff was noisy but what a difference now so quiet and the slight clunk when pulling away has gone . Question is how long does the oil last. I will give this over the summer and change again to give a good clean out .

I think the clue is in there being no drain plug wink

Many manufacturers expect it to last the life of the vehicle, but they don't expect the vehicle to last 30 years !

I don’t know the official interval but I’d do it every 2 years for what it costs.
I’m guessing your annual mileage is small?
