Cayenne Warranty Work

Just had a gearbox oil seal replaced on our Cayenne Diesel S carried out under warranty. No problem with the work but have been charged for replacing the gearbox oil which is very expensive.

Does anyone know if this is normal ?

The seal failed; it was replaced. The oil has a long service life / mileage expectation and as such is advised as reusable. The manufacturer will only pay for 'topping up' (up to a litre max) in such repairs. In an ideal world you'd have been asked if you wanted to pay before the old oil was discarded - sounds like that didn't happen - but as it's been replaced early it will offset servicing costs in the future.
