HI all, I have a BMW 640i with has an oyster fabric fixed carpet in the footwell area and oyster fabric mats. Both need cleaning regularly especially the mats.

Without getting the car valeted every time, what are the cheapest / most effective carpet cleaning devices to get the oyster colour clean without spending all day doing it?

Also, can anyone recommend a powerful and effective cordless vacuum that doesn't cost the world?

I'd probably fetch the mats out and stick them on a wool wash regularly if they're getting really grubby.

Haven't used one, but I've heard the latest-gen Shark cordless vacuums are excellent.

I've got one and it does a good job on dog beds, car and mats.

Ordered!!! Love that you showed me a refurbed one too! Pity it's corded but I'll mainly use it on the car mats...

Any ideas on a decent cordless vacuum?

Cordless are generally rubbish on cars, I’d just buy a corded screwfix titan which is very good.

When I bought a second hand car the passenger mat had an stain of unknown origin which I didn't do anything about for some time so it was fairly well ingrained so I thought I would try and remove it with https://www.halfords.com/motoring/car-cleaning/int... I was quite surprised that it removed it in one hit, might be worth trying it.
