re - covering fabric in boat cabin
Discussion
My partner did new cushions for our forecabin recently - we have new foam but her method would work over the existing too.
She used a sheet of hardboard as a backing then secured the fabric to it with stainless steel stables (the board is covered too, it's all much neater than it sounds!). Might not be suitable with yours being curved.
She's going to do the quarter berths without the board (so we can get them in and out more easily) and will effectively make a sock the foam slides into.
