Can anyone recommend a good but inexpensive (i.e. fairly cheap) video editing suite?

I have lots of video in different formats avi/mpeg etc. along with pictures that I want to collate into one with music/commentary over the top.

Windoze movie maker will do almost everything you need.

I thought it came free with XP (?)

I know ver 2 is out - worth the upgrade.

as an example...

6.5 mb - 320 wide - pretty squashed but watchable, here:

28mb - four times the screen size, much better quality, here:

probably best to right click - 'save target as'

OK

So it doesn't get much cheaper than the product sat right under my nose

Thanks!

What platform? On the mac, I use iMovie, or Final Cut for more complicated stuff.

You can also download the MS PhotoStory 3 application if you are confirmed under MS "Genuine Windows" malarky.

This will do your pictures rather nicely and save it as a wmv file.

Post back if you cannot find it...
