Adding date time to quoted posts

Particularly with popular threads,
when a post is quoted it can be difficult to go back many pages to try to find it and see the context it was made.
If the date time of the post was included in the quote it would be a piece of cake ( or lawn of sausages) to go back to it.

How difficult would it be to append date and time to a quoted post?

I quite agree, and while they're at it, perhaps make the quote header a link, so instead of having to manually binary search through the pages to hit on the date/time I could just right-click the link and open it in another window.

Thanks for the suggestion. The techies had a go at implementing this but unfortunately due to complications we've had to park it for now.
