Big mice with plenty of buttons
Discussion
Afternoon all. My googling has failed me. I do design stuff for a living and have quite big hands; I currently have an Elecom Huge trackball, which is pretty good but a mouse is just better than trackball for some of the stuff I do.
Can anyone suggest a big mouse that has a decent number of customisable buttons? The Elecom has seven buttons, plus the scroll wheel clicks and wiggles side to side (I don't really use those though). Being able to assign key combos to buttons is important.
I need left/right, forwards/back, and three programmable buttons, plus a scroll wheel. I have no strong feelings about wired vs wireless, and I don't need it to light up.
Ta in advance.

I'd looked at that, and it seems a nice bit of kit, but not enough dedicated buttons - they count things like the scroll wheel click and the side wheel as buttons.
The 3DConnexion CADMouse looks closest to what I'd like at the mo; it doesn't technically have enough buttons, but one of them opens a radial menu that's configurable per application, and I've already got a SpaceMouse.
There are some MMO mice with lots of buttons but they're not very big.

I've got a Logitech MX Master. Pretty big, beyond the left/right click and usual scroll wheel there's 5 more configurable buttons and another scroll. Lots of presets but can do launching apps, keystrokes, etc from them. Can also do application-specific settings, so you can have a different setup in an app like autocad to suit.
There's been a couple of generations since but mine is the original, currently £53 on amazon and still a great mouse. It's wireless (dongle or bluetooth) but the charging port is a micro USB in the front so I just leave a cable on my desk and plug it in when the battery gets low - can still use it just like a wired mouse while it charges.

Have a look at the Logitech MX Master 3. Pretty pricey but my mate swears by his, I believe the buttons are configurable for what you want but I'd suggest it would be wise to check.
I wouldn't use anything else. I have three of them - one for my PC at home, one for work PC for WFH and I bought one for my office PC as well. Highly recommended.MX Master 2s here. I have about 4 of them, their very cheap on ebay.
Couple of years time I'll buy an MX Master 3. Came from a Revolution MX that provided many MANY years of faithful service before I broke it more repairing it and bought the first 2s.
My hand hurts using anything else nowadays for more than 10 minutes

Another for the Logitech MX range and another who will go for a MX3 when the price drops - presently using a MX Master and two before had an original MX (in between I had a Microsoft Sidewinder X8, which was good, but the wireless connection was conflicting with something else in the house and in reality it was not as comfortable).
The MX range of mice have been ergonomically designed, which helps a great deal, though the angle of your wrist is still down to you.

Can anyone clarify exactly what buttons are on the MX master?
Far as I can see you get left, right, forwards, backwards, the scroll wheel clicks, and the side wheel goes up and down?
My other option is a little keypad of some sort, but that'll need the key combinations built in, not via software on the laptop.
