At the risk of giving Steve a heart attack, is anyone else interested in a trip to the Nurburgring next year? Would it be feasible to take track-club cars?

A recent article in Evo where they went on an RMA trackday there got me thinking about it. They appear to hire the ring for a trackday for a couple of days, which sounds a bit less intimidating than having local ringmeisters tearing around on superbikes.

The Exige has already done a 'ring trip and survived to tell the tale. A member recently returned from a trip in his own car on a public day and reinforced what I've generally thought which is to avoid the public days like the plague and go on a dedicated track day with RMA.

They are going for two days in November (with a stop at Spa for a day on the way). It's not bad value at £595 or the two days when you bear in mind that a noisy day at Silverstone or Brands is generally £295.

We would be happy to support a trip there if there was enough interest.

Yes, I am interested in the November trip.

As you say the public sessions are a waste of time. We came around one corner to be confronted by a 70 kph speed limit and a "Motorway" cone truck on the banking!
