Looks good but I’m not a member of Porsche GB, I got an email about it yesterday from Porsche Chester, where I bought my 911, I live in Suffolk so too far for one leisurely day out. If it takes off I’d go for weekend in future.

You don't need to be a PCGB member, you can buy tickets on the PM website.

I'll take some pictures and let you know how it was.

Yes, should be good if the rain stays away, it's a very pretty place.

I'm no.6 and I'm still not sure who no.1 is !

Be seeing you :-)

I'll keep a look out for your RS.

(Confused by no.1 and no. 6...)

It's from 'The Prisoner' TV series (with Patrick McGoohan) back in the day. It was set in Portmeirion. All the 'inmates' had numbers. McGoohan was no.6 and the identity of no.1 was never revealed.

So far from London unless one wants to make a weekend out of it. So unfortunately no.

Looking forward to the pics though!

I can't see how you can do that? When you add to the basket it prompts you to login, and there doesn't seem to be any way to register other than by joining the club?

Go to the actual Port Merion website. Get your ticket there, its £17 for the day with the same entry restrictions as on the PCGB site. I.E. dont arrive before 9.30.

Ahh, thanks! Seems a bit strange there's zero mention of it on the Portmeirion website or social channels. I'd imagine regular visitors might be a bit miffed at finding a load of cars clogging the place up!

To be fair, there weren't cars clogging the place up, most parked in the car park with a few being displayed around the place.

PortMeirion is beautiful at the best of times, a few lovely Porsches strategically dotted about added to it!

This was us on the way...

There were some very nice cars on display. A lovely silver 356 won the car of the day prize. The day was good overall. Richard Attwood was entertaining, with some good stories from his career. The brass band always had a big audience and the singer / guitarist was very good. The day remained dry and mainly sunny so the scenery was spectacular. My car was chosen as a display car. By chance I ended up not parking in the village. This turned out to be a good move as we needed to leave around 3pm. If I'd parked in the village we'd have had to wait right till the end of the event to get out ! Overall, well worth the visit.
