Selling scrap gold

I have some old items of jewellery that are no longer wanted and the best / easiest way to get rid of them is to sell for scrap (no sentimental value). Total value something near £100-£150, so not a great deal. They are not my items but belong (were donated) to a charity I'm involved with, so I'd like to achieve the best price I can, where possible.
Has anyone used the online services such as Gold-Traders and Gold (both .co.uk)? Or any other services I should consider? I appreciate one other answer is to ask in local jewellers but I doubt they would give as good a price as the 'main dealers' who are set up more to deal with this sort of thing.
I have some small scales (used to weigh my coffee beans and also some 'smaller' ones used to weigh air gun pellets) so I'm reasonably happy I can weigh fairly accurately - certainly closer than 'kitchen' scales.

Can't help directly but to value it you'd need to know what carat gold it is - 9, 18, 21 etc.
Then again given the state of things you might like to keep it as an investment!
Thanks - I know the carat (or can read it off the hallmarks, so that's not a problem). As an investment - £150 of gold will need to jump quite a bit to make it an investment. Now if it was £150k........Then again given the state of things you might like to keep it as an investment!

A few years ago I sold my wedding ring via Hatton Garden Metals https://www.hattongardenmetals.com/. No problems at all, at the time they were offering 10% if you took Argos vouchers and I had them a few days after sending them the gold.

I used Gold Traders based in Wootton Bassett for a silver bowl I had.
Valued it online at £300, posted off and the money was in my account 2 days later. The local “we buy any gold/silver” jeweller offered me £150!
