Buying a Taycan? Scared of my own man maths.

So I am considering buying a new BEV. But why a Taycan?
Well, I plan on keeping it for the foreseeable so I’m not concerned about the depreciation first off. Ideally I will even be looking to keep the car until I retire. A one car for life kind of thing.
Given that I’d be keeping it for so long, I want the feel good factor every time I look back at it and drive it. Desirability that lasts essentially.
I also need the back doors/rear seats for two kids.
I will be doing around 14-15k miles a year. A real world range of at least 280-300 miles is sufficient for my weekly commute.
What I will save in petrol/diesel costs would cover the electric usage and the insurance on a Taycan.
Plus being a BEV the annual servicing/repair bills will be lower generally than an ICE vehicle. So I’d save there too. That’s my man maths part anyway.
I know that battery replacement is inevitable with any BEV long term of course, I accept that, but over time that can be budgeted for.
I don’t personally like Tesla’s and while I could buy an Ionic 5 or EV6 and save a load of money, it would hardly be a car that excites or instilled desire, especially in say ten years time.
So am I crazy or off the mark here? Anything else I should think about or consider?

I wouldn’t be looking at any EV as a car for life. the technology will move on and improve. I have the 4S saloon five seats. Great car I don’t have the long range battery and have seen from 180-260 miles on the range.
Also bear in mind when you add luggage and another four people the range does drop. Ionity is great where it is at full capacity and the discounted 30p per KWH with your Porsche card is great. Porsche centre charging is as fast but costs circa twice as much. The coffee and snacks are free which pays for itself when I have a carful.
Overall I would suggest taking advantage of the high future values and order one on a 3/4 year deal with a view to swapping then. I’ve registered my interest for a Macan EV next.

100% charge gets 240 to 260 miles max (Summer) and 210 miles in winter conditions.
You should not really charge to 100%, ideally just 85% so more like 210 miles.
My car had its first service before being handed over to me, the cost (allegedly) was £800, I imagine this was for bugger all beyond an inspection but gives an idea on the cost of EV servicing (and that it is not cheaper).
It a big car, adults in the back are very comfortable.

I bought one with 14k miles (10 months old) and planned to do 2k miles a month, therefore it would need servicing within 3 months, hence me insisting they service it before I collected.
I have long obsessed with man maths about buying a Taycan. I would say one of the very strong plus sides is I think they are going to beat *everything* for depreciation over the next few years, especially if you get the right spec (cross tourismo or sport tourismo).
For hammering a lot of miles on and keeping for 10 years this is less of an important factor. I wouldnt worry about battery replacement - even most EVs with high mileages on are holding up very well.
