Under no circumstances should you ever consider paying actual money to watch Moonfall.
Don't be tempted by the fact that it's a Emmerich disaster movie - sometimes these can be be so bad, they're good. This is not one of those.
Don't be tempted by the fact that Halle Berry is in it - she can do some really good action movies. This is not one of those.
Don't be tempted by the CGI - sometimes really good CGI can help a poor movie. This is not one of those.
Don't be tempted by the fact that some movies use obvious cliches to make a intelligent points about life. This is not of those.
Oh, and the supporting cast are terrible, just terrible.
It manages to be bad at absolutely everything, which could be considered an achievement, I suppose.
Be warned!

edit: oh, and the "science" is complete and utter bks - forgivable if everything was god, but.......they're not so............just don't.

It's so bad it's good.

It's been mentioned on the film's thread loads in regards to how crap it is.

Ah - did look, but probably not far enough back, and no, in the nicest possible way, you're wrong, it's just bad smile

Emmerich films so bad they're good:
2012
The Day After Tomorrow
possibly Godzilla

...this is not of those.

Even Bay would cringe at this.

Sorry, only posted it about an hour and a half ago wink, while actually watching it.

I figured it deserved a thread of its own, instead of being buried in the films thread so it got more traction. Shame it just missed you and I feel your pain - still, an hour after it has finished hurl

i could have just about coped with the ste dialogue, stupid plot and horrible acting, if the SFX had been amazing (see Independence Day)...

but the Earth-based CGI was laughably bad. i remember more realistic cut-scenes in 1990s video games

I only had to watch the trailer to realise it was a pile of steaming crap.

It's so bad it...bad.

It actually made me angry for some reason, as if I was being mocked for being fooled into watching it.

It not bad, its horrible in such a way you're offended by the way in which the film makes you want to believe a situation is, to the point it's just annoyingly stupid.

I cannot think of one redeeming feature but it's a learning experience for sure.

It sounds like one of those terrible direct to video made for TV things that show up on the lower reaches of Freeview but with a bigger budget.
